Australian formula collective

Australian Formula Collective (AFC) is a national-first engineering collaboration between students at Edith Cowan University and the University of Western Australia.

Started in 2017, AFC aims to achieve success in Formula SAE and Formula Student competitions in Australia and internationally, by bringing together the engineering talent of each university.  Leveraging the generous support of our universities and sponsors enables us to maintain a constant buzz of R&D, design, and production activities.

Students who get involved in the team gain skills and knowledge to complement their regular university coursework and will graduate work-ready as well-rounded and motivated engineers.

AFC will field an internal combustion car with a new generation custom designed engine at the 2018 Formula Student UK and Formula SAE Australasia competitions. This car will be joined by the team's first electric-class car, to compete at Formula SAE Australasia in 2018.
